Good old paper. As one commenter on this lifehacker survey says, "Paper just works because it gets the hell out of your way."

I am a jotter. I make lists on paper scraps, old envelopes (my favorite use), whatever is handy.
I'm rather use paper than turn on computer, make a file, print a file and THEN voila! A paper list!
Paper is there. It's handy. A paper list can be stuffed in a pocket and taken anywhere.
I'm a jotter like Cindy, and use scrap paper, too. Also, you're not wasting juice every time you have to check it.
Count me as jotter number three! I'm a list-maker, and I always have scraps at my right hand which then become nicer lists if the items are long term.
it's just so much more immediate from brain to page than any other reminder system.
When I get stuck in a story, I grab a noteblock and a good pen and write on paper for a while. After a page or two, I usually get past my writer´s block and can continue on my laptop.
That's interesting. Dorte! The brain does process differently when handwriting versus dictating or typing.
