There's always one or another of these lists appearing, but because this one caught the errors I see and especially detest, I'm re-posting it from Shine.
Its about marshalling you're apostrophes and possessives, people! : )
I'm only re-posting the image Yahoo Shine used, but editorially, isn't it odd to illustrate a list of computer spell-check misses with a hand-written error, also corrected by human hand, which doesn't match any of the offending items on the list? Happy to regurgitate it, but I'm just sayin'.

I have a few of these crop up in my manuscripts all the time. I hope I catch them with a careful proofreading but who knows. I'm sure some have gotten by me.
lately, "peak" for "peek" has shown up. And people leaning against the door jam. Don't get me started on waiting with "baited" breath. Or maybe the characters like to eat worms.
