Power of Language: The Wrong Sort of Attention

I always think of the Power of Language tag for posts about words with clever, even unexpected impact, a perfect example being the guy who submitted his corporate performance review as a haiku. In today's case, we're seeing even fewer words, but they eloquently communicate a powerful subtext. I imagine it's something like:

"The dictation of the soul requires no proofreading!"

Eyeball amusements courtesy of the HuffPo. Go marvel at them all!

Love the tattoos. Wow, bet they regretted the permanence of it.

Well, that top one certainly is a "tradgedy." Whether it's beautiful or not, well, that's in the eye of the beholder.

Fun chuckle. Thanks.

Do you think they play it off now by saying "well that's how I spell it" or some other inane response?

I hope they got refunds!

They certainly are conversation pieces.

Thanks for sharing, Clare!

It may be just a tattoo, but it's true.
We are all awesome!

Ann- I'd like to think before tattoo do-over and laser removal were more commonplace, people were more careful, but I doubt it.

In the modern era, there's no excuse for not using dictionary.com

Laura- Her lip gloss is beautiful :@

David- I'm sure some of their personal strategies go that way. Ala, "What do you mean? ! My sainted mother's name was Tradgedy!"

Kathy- what's truly "tradgic" is that you usually have to approve the design in stencilled form on your skin before they start with the needle. There's a chance to proofread, for the artists and canvasses alike.

Cathi- Love the positivity! Way to take that missing E and turn it into WE!
