I get inspiration and information from hearing what other people think about things, even if I'm bound to have my own, contrarian angle as well. But during a month where almost all my words and spare synapses are feeding the WIP, other writers' opinions have even more usefulness: BLOG FILLER! Why, I believe I see a phalanx of OWOs prancing by just now!
P.D. James, Baroness of Holland Park, has written a concise book entitled Talking About Detective Fiction. This WSJ review is by Albert Pyle. That's 2 OWOs in one!
Joseph Finder and Lee Child consider e-readers in the NYT. Sarah Weinman referred me. Trifecta at least!
Author C.J. Box shares his top 10 U.S. crime novelists with the Guardian. I'm losing count.
The ghostwriters of celebrity memoirs have traditionally remained shadows in the background, but in this WSJ article, you can read who's now insisting upon credit. For patience alone, I think they deserve the cover space.
It wouldn't be a weekend post without Glamourpuss: The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs , additional links aplenty at Boing Boing. This video was a little stubborn for me, but the swanky soundtrack alone is worth the patience, I think.

Can you image what the cats are thinking while they're being dressed up? Would it be "Oh, this is fun" or "Oh, just wait till I get my revenge?"
Thanks for sharing.
My two cats seem to have disappeared. I can't imagine why. All I was doing was watching that video. Oh my.
I think TALKING ABOUT DETECTIVE FICTION should go on my Christmas list.
Oh, that Glamourpuss video is something...those poor kitty-cats. They look cute, though. That soundtrack was fun.
cool links. Thanks.
