A few weeks ago, Lois tipped us all to the first National Bookstore Day. You can read her post here.
Hooray! Hooray! Today's the day!
While you are out doing your weekend chores please stop by your local bookstore and treat yourself to a bit of time browsing the aisles. Before you leave be sure to wish the proprietor a Happy National Bookstore Day!
And yes, I did steal the graphic from Lois' post.

If I wasn't headed out to the boonies for a bit of hunting I would do that very thing.
Oh what a wonderful day. We've got a used bookstore in town that I might check out to honour the day. However, we're off to Red Deer on Tuesday (nearest city) and have plans to go to the Chapters store there. I'll celebrate twice.
Travis,
Enjoy the boonies--nature is every bit as grand as a well stocked bookstore.
df Leah,
Two bookstores in one day?? It doesn't get any better than that.

As good as an excuse as any to buy books. Not that I need an excuse.
Charles,
As if any of us need an excuse. ;)

Any central Floridians can go to the Altamonte Mall, where the local RWA chapter and the Altamonte Springs Barnes & Noble have teamed up for "Romancing the Holidays" -- a major book signing. And 20% of the proceeds will go to the Adult Literacy League of Orlando. Thank you Barnes & Noble.
Hi Terry,
That is a fabulous way to spend National Bookstore Day. Great luck with the fund raising for such a worthy cause.

I guess I celebrated yesterday when I dropped about $70 on books at Borders! They were having a buy one, get one 50% off sale...
Wow! Kathi, you celebrated in style.

An excellent way to spend a Saturday. Thanks for the reminder, Terrie.
Great remainder, Terrie! It almost got away from me!
Elaine and Clare,
Happy to be of service. ;)
