Friday Funnies

Last night I gave a presentation on Web presences for authors to my local chapter of Sisters in Crime. I didn't have time to show this at the meeting, but I figured it was good for a laugh...even if it's kind of a depressed laugh. Eventually I will get around to putting up some of the stuff we talked about at the meeting--lots of interesting questions came up.

So, for your viewing pleasure:

I LOVE IT! It's the condensed compendium of everything we talked about last night. The things you can do, shouldn't do, and have to choose between. A big part of the writing dream: putting videos on the internet. Too true : )
It is fantastico!

P.S. Laura- great presentation last night, and if you can prevent one person from a singing and dancing home page with 500 links written in tiny pale green font on lavender, you will be karmically rewarded.

That does it. The guy on U Tube is as lost as me. We both would have benefited from your presentation last night at our SinC NY/TriState meeting. Good thing I was there, scribbling notes as fast as possible.

You have a phenomenal skill in translating cybertalk to plain English. I'm finally able to hear the phrase "my website" without hyperventilating. As regards all the other types of cyberspace book promo activities, my ulcer's still hanging in there.

And thanks to Clare2e who "womaned" Laura's Power Point visuals last night and added even more clarity to the big picture.

Brilliant video...ouch! And I know your presentation must have been wonderful. You've simplified technology many times, right here on the blog.

Laura,

This is fabulous. I have to say a mega thanks for a wonderful presentation at the SinC meeting and for whatever magic you worked on the edit page. "I can see clearly now . . ."

Hmm...my comment is gone....IRONY!

So I'll post it again...

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I always worry, in my geekiness, that other people won't understand what I am saying. It's nice to know I manage to make things somewhat clear!
