Recently, Agent Kristin had a post about cover art and what not to do when you see yours for the first time and freak out about how awful/inappropriate/whatever it is.
Which reminded me to post these two covers. Someone should have asked the artist whether he'd ever done the exact same cover in the past.

That's a very "Mike Brady" way of designing things. If somebody asks you to design a book cover, at least change your text effects macro.

Even if there was only one - what a cheap and boring look! You think they would do better for 2 such highly selling authors.
Right, if you're going to redo a cover, at least redo a good cover.
The whole style makes me want to check my glasses prescription.
